Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) is an American multinational corporation headquartered
in Redmond, Washington that develops, manufactures, licenses, and supports a wide range of
products and services predominantly related to computing through its various product divisions.
Established on April 4, 1975 to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800, Microsoft
rose to dominate the home computer operating system market with MS-DOS in the mid-1980s,
followed by the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems.
Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS) is a multinational corporation founded in 1989, that
provides server and desktop virtualization, networking, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and
cloud computing technologies, including Xen open source products. Following the acquisition
of XenSource, Inc. in October 2007, Citrix spearheads the Xen open source hypervisor
project.
VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) is a company providing virtualization software founded in 1998 and
based in Palo Alto, California, USA. The company was acquired by EMC Corporation in 2004,
and operates as a separate software subsidiary. VMware's desktop software runs on Microsoft
Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, while VMware's enterprise software hypervisors for servers,
VMware ESX and VMware ESXi, are bare-metal embedded hypervisors that run directly on server
hardware without requiring an additional underlying operating system.
Symantec Corporation is the largest maker of security software for computers, best known for its
Norton brand. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California, and is a Fortune 500
company and a member of the S&P 500 stock market index.
Diskeeper is a file system fragmentation program for Microsoft Windows, developed by Diskeeper
Corporation (formerly Executive Software). In addition to resolving file system fragmentation,
Diskeeper also prevents fragmentation before it happens by optimizing the process of data being
written to disk. Diskeeper can also defragment of files on-the-fly, using only idle system resources
as needed.

on disk imaging technology. Their flagship product line was Acronis True Image until 2009, at which
time it was replaced in the corporate environment by Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.

physician practices and healthcare facilities with electronic medical record and practice management
software. gloStream software is developed in Nashik, India and sold through a nationwide network of
